AAL has a complete helicopter Flight Crew and Maintenance Training Center, AVIA LUX, located in Sharjah, UAE along with our newly established training facility in Cape Town, South Africa.
AVIA LUX is certified by numerous authorities, to provide a variety of training services for Flight Crew and Maintenance Engineers, on operation and maintenance of Mi-8/17/171 version helicopters. The center was established in 2005 as a subdivision company of AAL Group Ltd. located at Sharjah International Airport Free Zone (SAIF Zone), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. AVIA LUX is certified by the Department of Civil Aviation of Ukraine, Department of Civil Aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Department of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Colombia, the Russian Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) and authorized by General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates.
AVIA LUX provides a variety of training services for flight and ground personnel in operation and maintenance of Mi-8/17/171 version helicopters. It has a fully computerised and visual display lecture facility, allowing students a complete insight into the aircraft and its systems.
Helicopter simulators Mi-17-1V/ Mi-171 (Fixed-Base, Simulator qualification level "B") are built on networked computers with a realistic helicopter cockpit. They utilise a unique combination of software, dedicated hardware facilities and hands-on helicopter controls, with realistic equipment and instruments. The simulator allows the practicing of a broad range of procedures including piloting and navigation and more importantly it allows the students to learn emergency procedures without any risk involved. Finally, our overhaul facility (AAL Group Ltd. - Mi-type Helicopter Maintenance Base) provides a great opportunity for hands-on training.
AVIA LUX provides:
- flight conversion and recurrent type training,
- emergency procedures,
- IFR and VFR.
We also provide conversion, recurrent and on-job maintenance training.
